Work in progress: “Mission” Poster.
This is the poster I’ve developed for my graphic design senior project. I’m going to be screen printing it on French Paper’s 80 lb. speckletone oatmeal paper to give it an earthy tone. Duotone ink, green and dark grey.
Hey all! Jason here, with something new and exciting!
Being a huge fan of geometry and clean, simple shapes, I decided to not only create a design, but a way of designing things. Rulers, grids, and snapping in Illustrator all give way to a certain way of doing things in a precise, measured fashion. What I did is I created a palate of cubes to choose from, all different colors (only grays shown in the example), that could be simply dragged from the shelf, and snapped into place to create a visually interesting clump of colored cubes. By using my favorite keyboard shortcut of all, holding in alt to duplicate, I can drag out as many of these cubes as I want. Awesome!
